Board-to-Wire and Barrier Industrial Grade Terminal Blocks

The 5EDGKG-10.16 is a new IP20 protected terminal block / interconnect system. It falls into the family of board to wire terminal block. The IP20 protection means that the both the connector and the wire-side interconnect is protected from fingers and objects greater than 12 millimeters (or about 1/2″ an inch); but not by liquids. This is useful for systems that may encounter the need to be disconnected from time to time. For example, a service repair person may need to disconnect a certain controls to a gas furnace or elevator control panels in order to do bi-annual diagnostic and certification.
The DG1700, DG46S, DG55R are barrier type terminal blocks that allow installers to connect a controller PCB to a larger more industrial/commercial level applications. These more permanent barrier type terminal blocks can be used in electrical power panels, elevators, conveyor systems, and industrial automation.
