Volume is the quantity of three-dimensional space that is enclosed within a container. In other words, it is the space that a substance or object occupies or contains. The basic Volume formula we are taught from a young age is conveyed as: Length x Width x Height. However, Suntsu’s volume converter incorporates formulas for various shapes.

The following formulas are accounted for in our converters:

V=s³         V=LWH         V=Ah         V=⅓Ah         V=4/3πr³

The metric system uses the standard cubic meter to measure volume. Meanwhile, the imperial system utilized most in the US, uses gallons, quarts, and cups. A notable difference to highlight is that the imperial system includes different volume units for liquid and solid items, while the metric system does not.

Our volume converter will be able to convert the following:

Metric Units:

Milliliters (mL)
Liters (L)
Cubic Milliliters (mm³)
Cubic Centimeters (cm³)
Cubic Meters ()
Cubic Inches (in³)
Cubic Feet (ft³)
Cubic Yards (yd³)

US Units:

Fluid Ounces (Fl oz)
Pints (pt)
Cups (cup)
Quarters (qt)
Gallons (gal)
Tablespoons (tbsp)
Teaspoons (tsp)

British Imperial Units:

Fluid Ounces (fl oz)
Pints (pt)
Cups (cup)
Quarters (qt)
Gallons (gal)
Tablespoons (tbsp)
Teaspoons (tsp)
